Four-year-old hit in face during altercation outside Wincanton pub
A CHILD was hit in the face during a disturbance outside a pub in Wincanton.
The four-year-old was hit while in the arms of its mother during a disturbance outside the White Horse pub in the Market Place at 1am on New Year's Day.

The incident was reported to police by a witness and the mother and child left the scene before officers arrived.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We are investigating the incident and are trying to locate the young victim and its mother as well as speak to other people who were out for New Year's Eve celebrations and witnessed the incident."
Enquiries have lead to the arrest of a 24-year-old local woman on suspicion of assault. She has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
