Wells Loyalty League

There is now even more opportunity for shoppers in Wells to be rewarded for their loyalty.

Wells Loyalty League has been relaunched, with more shops now taking part.

The relaunch of the scheme has been masterminded by Graham Hall of Ambitious Brands, Sally Robertson of the Wells Chamber of Commerce to encourage people to shop in Wells.

Sally Robertson said: "It is more important than ever to keep people shopping locally"

The scheme is open to anyone who shops in Wells.

All they need to do is to pick up a Wells Loyalty League card in any participating shop and their card will be stamped by the shop when they spend their money.

When the card is full you leave it at the National Schoolwear Centre on Broad Street or Mid Somerset News & Media’s office in Southover, Wells BA5 1UH where it is entered into the monthly draws.

Each month there is a £50 winner and every three months a £250 prize is drawn. The winners then choose the shop or businesses in the Wells Loyalty League where they would like to spend their prizes.

Pictures of the winners in the shops are featured in the Wells Journal.

Philip Welch, editor of the paper, said: "We are encouraged by the strong response from local retailers but disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm from the chain stores to support Wells.

"The Wells Journal is delighted to support the scheme which has made a real difference to the health of the city’s shopping centre."

Shops which are taking part in the reward scheme should display the logo in the window and will also be able to give cards to anyone who is not already taking part in the scheme.

For more information about the reward scheme contact Philip Welch on (01749) 832331 or Sally Robertson on (01749) 670000. Rodney Angel remains the treasurer.
