Arcadia bigger and better

The hugely popular dance fields of Arcadia look set to become even bigger and better at next year's Glastonbury Festival.

Organiser Michael Eavis has said we are considering giving over an extra 15 acres to Arcadia next year because of the fantastic feedback on that area.

Next year's event will celebrate 40 years since the first festival was held at Worthy Farm in 1970. The line-up won't be revealed until nearer the time of the event but Michael says they are working hard to get the best acts and make it the best festival yet.

A comment made by Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant last week sparked speculation about the possibility of the legendary group reforming to play Glastonbury 2010, according to NME.com, when Plant said: "There's a place for me there (at Glastonbury), but I have no idea who with." Plant is said to have been in talks with Glastonbury Festival organisers about an appearance at next year's 40th anniversary event.

The surviving members of Led Zeppelin, Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones reunited in December 2007, along with late drummer John Bonham's son Jason, for a sell-out benefit concert in London.

However another Led Zeppelin reunion looks unlikely at the moment as bassist John Paul Jones has said he is happy where he is – playing with Them Crooked Vultures.
