All we want is speed hump back
As residents of Magdalene Street, who were not consulted before the removal of the road calming bumps, and who have to put up with speeding vehicles racing past our property we are in favour of returning one speed bump.
Obviously consideration has to be given to listed properties in Magdalene Street, we live in one ourselves.
All we are asking for is the return of a speed bump which will slow down speeding traffic without causing damage to either vehicles or buildings.
However having lived here for four years, the only regular heavy vehicles we regularly see are the refuse collection lorries.

Not many HGVs use Magdalene Street and our argument is that if a road calming speed bump was installed any vehicle going over it would have to slow down. At the moment vehicles of all type regularly break the speed limit and at weekends the boy racers use Magdalene Street as part of their circuit.
We would be very happy to have a speed bump re-installed directly adjacent to our property.
