Too many are using phones while driving
I READ in amazement (Fewer drivers fined as message over mobiles gets across Bristol Post September17).
This message has not got across at all in fact things are much worse.
I and other concerned family and friends are seeing more of these incidents each day. The reason they are getting away with it is there are never any police around to witness their abuse of the law and they know it.
My husband and I have followed many cars weaving all over the road and if we overtake them they are on their mobile 'phones talking or texting. It is particularly noticeable on the motorway as sometimes they will slow down and pull over from the outside lane and then speed up and overtake again. We have seen cars, lorry drivers and vans all flouting this law.

Why was the law brought in 10 years ago making it illegal to drive and use a mobile 'phone? Presumably because it is dangerous and can cause accidents and cost lives. What will it take to make them stop ? Innocent, law abiding drivers and their families killed or maimed for life?
