1) The eagerly-awaited Frome Folk Festival takes place this weekend, with programmes of events at the Cheese and Grain , Westway Cinema , Masonic Hall and Round Tower.
There are also a number of pub sessions, and a full programme of events for February 18 and 19 can be found at the Frome Folk Festival official website.
2) Yeovil Town FC are at home against Colchester United at Huish Park on Saturday afternoon (3pm), February 18. Gary Johnson's Glovers are hovering around the relegation zone, and will want a big home crowd to support them against mid-table Colchester.

3) Noah's Ark Zoo Farm near Nailsea has a perfect afternoon's entertainment on Saturday, February 18, for anyone interested in the birds in their garden. The zoo has two Nest Box and Nibbles sessions in the education room at 1pm and 2pm. Help out your garden's birds this spring by making some nest box homes, and balls of fat for them to eat.

4) One of Somerset's most popular running races takes place on Sunday morning, February 19. The Tough Ten race will see 1,500 athletes tackle a ten-mile multi-terrain course in Weston-super-Mare. It starts at 11am, so why not go along and cheer the runners on? Vocal support is known to make people run faster!
5) The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre in Taunton hosts The Trial on Monday evening, February 20. The Blackeyed Theatre production is described as an 'exhilarating evening’s entertainment' and follows Joseph K's arrest and wait for trial.

6) The Octagon Theatre in Yeovil stages a performance of the Lord of the Flies on Wednesday, February 22. William Golding's novel will be brought to life by the award-winning Sell a Door Theatre Company.
