Vicar admits serious sex offences on boy
A Somerset vicar has admitted serious sex offences against a teenage boy.
David Roberts, vicar of St John’s, Taunton, pleaded guilty at Taunton Crown Court yesterday to two charges of indecent assault and three more serious sex offences between January 1985 and January 1988 when the boy was aged 13 to 15.
The case was adjourned for sentencing and 68-year-old Roberts, of Henley Road, Taunton, was remanded in custody.
