Take a step back in time at the steam railway
THE clocks will be turned back this weekend at the East Somerset Railway, at Cranmore, as it relives the 1930s to 1950s.
A celebration of rural Britain, the weekend is intended to show life surrounding a rural station and will include attractions such as vintage agricultural equipment, war time vehicles, displays, stalls and more.
There will be people dressed in period costume and a singer entertaining with songs of the era such as She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain and The White Cliffs Of Dover.
The train will have real ale from Blindman's Brewery, just three miles from the station, on-board and the Whistlestop restaurant will be serving refreshments. Tickets are available on the day.
