Street and District Swimming Club has announce the arrival of new head coach Zoe Baker, the former GB representative from 1992-2004, and New Zealand representative in 2005- 2008 for sprint breaststroke events.

Baker dedicated her life to training and competing at a world-class level for more than a decade in which she held four world records, won a Commonwealth gold, was a triple world bronze medalist, European Champion, held 12 European records and four Commonwealth records, while also holding 16 British senior records.

Baker will be taking on the coaching of all squad swimmers, working closely with Ange Robertson, who has been an invaluable asset to the club for many years.

"I aim to pass on all my knowledge to all the Street swimmers through motivating them and the coaches," said Baker. "I'm very excited about working with everyone at Street and District Swimming Club and want to help every swimmer regardless of age and ability to achieve their full potential."

The club welcomes new members and would particularly welcome anyone interested in coming forward if they are interested in sponsoring the club in any way.
