Great garden centre

“ Despite the rain and grey skies, there was lots of colour at Browne’s Garden Centre to greet me this week. I managed to stock-up on some lovely perennials for my front garden and a few alpines for my latest hobby. We popped into the café which had quite a few customers for a yummy Mendip Moments sorbet bribe for my accompanying young helper. Always a delightful shopping experience. ”

Welcome to Brownes Garden Centre
The garden centre is situated on the outskirts of England's smallest city - Wells
We offer a large choice of:
• Alpines
• Herbaceous perennials
• Conifers
• Trees
• Shrubs
• House plants
Together with an excellent range of gardening sundries.
Plus seasonal bedding and in December we also have a good selection of Christmas trees.
• Cafe with locally made cakes and toasted sandwiches from local produce open daily

• Emmanuel Brown established Brown's Nursery in 1808.
• This business may well be the oldest surviving family run enterprise in Wells.
• It has seen eight generations over the last 200 years.
• Located just outside of Wells in Somerset, follow the A39 road from Wells to Glastonbury.

Great garden centre

What a lovely Nursery and Garden Centre

“I must have driven past many times but glad I stopped for a visit today. Its refreshing to talk to people who know about plants and can give great advice. Looking forward to boosting my veg patch.”

The tea shop's a little gem too!

“Nom-nom. The chillie plants I bought from Brownes this year were stonking, can't ripen the blooming things though, tried bananas too. I guess I'm happy with green chillies though :)”
