I am currently researching my family tree on my paternal side.

I have managed to discover that my ancestor George Withers came from the small village of Priston in Somerset through the 1851 census.

His wife was Eliza Withers born in 1805/6 and they had four children – Charles, Priscilla, William and Kezia. Also in the household per the 1861 census was a Henry Withers who was listed as a grandson.

Henry Withers married Hannah and they had six children Ada, George, Frederick, Emily, Albert and Frank. Their son George Withers was my great grandfather who left Somerset for Wales and married Ada Pugh. They had six children including my grandfather Harold.

I am now searching for any members of my family currently living in the Bath/Twerton/Priston area that could possibly help me piece together my family tree. I have visited Priston but was unable to access parish records at that time.
