PEOPLE are forgiven for thinking criminals were on the loose as dozens took part in Weston Hospicecare's Jailbreak fundraiser.

About 24 people entered, helping to raise more than £6,000 for the charity. Dressed in convict clothes they were released from Burnham police station.

They had just 24 hours from Saturday morning, February 27, to blag their way to get as far away as possible without cash.

The winners were a team from Brent Knoll who travelled 801 miles after blagging a minibus.
