'And there's more' family fun with much-loved comic
A bit of unseasonable winter cricket is coming to the village of Pensford in December in the shape of the much-loved Irish comedian Jimmy Cricket, who will be headlining a family show at the Memorial Hall
Tickets are selling fast for a two day event, being held by Stanton Wick Action Group (SWAG) at Pensford Memorial Hall on Friday and Saturday December 7 and 8.
Jennie Jones from SWAG said: "Jimmy is looking forward to appearing in the Bristol area as he last paid a visit to the city back in August and received a tremendous reception."
Tickets for Jimmy's show are just £15 and the evening will also feature female vocalist May Marion, local duo Musicians in Black and a disco to round off the entertainment.

Jimmy was given his own television series on a show called And There's More produced by Central Television.
He also had his own radio series for BBC Radio 2.
He featured in The Krankies Klub alongside The Krankies and Bobby Davro. He also appeared on the Royal Variety Show in 1984.
Cricket was one of a number of veteran performers to appear in the video for the 2007 Comic Relief single, a cover of The Proclaimers song I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Matt Lucas as Andy Pipkin and Peter Kay as Brian Potter.
Jimmy said: "It's great to be visiting Pensford and appearing at such a great community venue as the Pensford Memorial Hall.

Jimmy's humour is entirely clean, in marked contrast to some other comedians.
A popular theme of his comedy is Irish logic, and the ubiquitous letter from his "Mammy".
He almost always appears in his trademark outfit of cut-off evening trousers, dinner jacket, hat and wellies marked 'L' and 'R' for left and right, but worn on the wrong feet.
