“ Looking up this pub as I have only just found out an old friend of mine from Bolton, Mick Hogg latterly known as Mushroom Mick, died Dec 2010 of lung cancer. Not surprising considering all the fumes he inhaled! Read that he spent a lot of time here and can see why he would like it. For that reason I would say if Mick liked it then it must have good beer and music. I will get down there sometime. It would be nice if any photos of him could be posted online. cheers Mick ”

“Popped in last night to watch Hobo Jones. Great atmosphere, the place was heaving and a really friendly vibe. Definitely a place to go for a buzzy atmosphere (and plety of cider).”

“I have seen some excellent local music in this pub and it feels like a folky hobbit hole. Just what I would have expected from Glastonbury! ”

“great pub, almost as iconic as the Tor! Olde worlde hippy charm, good beers and ales, serve food now and seem to have a decent menu, outside seating area with lovely views and a unique vibe...”

“Recently under new management this is the best pub in Glastonbury. It's a lively place with music and bands several nights a week. There's a large canopied outside area for smoking and seating, which is often busy but with a friendly, noisy ambience. The front bar is cosy in winter with open fires and olde world charm, while the back room hosts the bands/music etc. There are also a couple of pool tables and a jukebox. It's a little bit out of town but is the most unique pub in Glastonbury with a mixture of young uns, ageing locals cider drinkers, hippies and middle class alternative types. A good range of beer and a tasty home-cooked menu with food for a fiver on Monday, and a Quiz takes place on a Wednesday.”
