£900 goes to a good cause
Members and friends of Norton Radstock Ladies Circle gathered to present a cheque for £900, raised through fundraising activities in the past year.
The chosen charity was Group B Strep Support (GBSS), which campaigns for greater awareness of group B streptococcus infection in newborn babies and offers information and support to families affected by the infection.
Last year's chairwoman Emma Conneely presented the cheque to Jane Plumb, chief executive of GBSS.
During the evening, outgoing honorary president Sadie Robinson handed over to Alex Chard, the new president for 2013/14.
