'A £150 fine and I'm left like this'
A TEENAGER who had to have his leg amputated after a horror crash near Crewkerne says he feels let down by the justice system.
Michael Waller suffered horrific injuries when he was knocked off his motorbike by a livestock lorry that was being driven by Jeremy Roger Veale.
Magistrates fined Veale, 55, of Martock, £150 for careless driving. He also received six penalty points.
Mr Waller, 19, said: "The value of his fine wouldn't even cover the cost of the medication for my pain.
"It's absolutely ridiculous."
