Two people rescued from van stranded in 2ft of flood water near Dulverton

Two people were rescued from a van that became trapped in flood water on an Exmoor road early this morning.

Emergency services were called to a stretch of the B3222 at Exebridge near Dulverton shortly after 4am, with the van stranded in around two foot of flowing water.

  1. Fire rescue

Two fire crews from Dulverton were joined at the scene by a specialist rescue team from Bridgwater.

The van's occupants were rescued and taken to dry land unharmed.
