A night at the moo-vies for Sundance festival favourite
Comedian and writer Tony Hawks will open the third Chagford Film Festival on Monday followed by a screening of his film, Playing the Moldovans at Tennis, which tracks Tony's quest to beat the Moldovan football team at tennis.
The week-long festival includes screenings of Zaytoun by Gareth Unwin, Oscar-winning producer of The King's Speech; a screening of the silent horror classic Nosferatu with live music by harpist Elizabeth-Jane Baldry; The Blues Brothers and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
On Thursday it's The Moo Man, which was nominated and shown at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival this year. It's the remarkable story of maverick farmer Stephen Hook and his cows, beautifully filmed over four years in Sussex. Stephen, pictured, will be there on the night, along with the film's director, Andy Heathcote, and producer Heike Bachelier.
