Mr Kimberley John Thomas Gane, of Butleigh

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 9, at St Leonard's Church, Butleigh, for Kim Gane, who passed away on May 28.

The service was conducted by the Rev Brian Adams.

Kim worked hard and played hard, enjoying life to the full. He was passionate about his work and farm, dedicated to shooting and rugby and enthusiastic about his skittles.

The most fitting tribute we can given to Kim is a poem written by his children.

Dad

I once knew a man who'd smile like the sun

He worked hard by day and was so full of fun.

I once knew a man who lived life to its best

He was strong and much loved and so full of zest.

I once knew a man for whom no task was too great

He'd help when he could to oblige any mate.

I once knew a man who was trusting and kind

Who was caring and loyal none better you'd find.

I once knew a man we're so proud to call Dad

Life won't be the same we'll miss what we had.

You'll stay in our hearts, our thoughts and our lives

Live on in our dreams though you may have died.

Peaceful at last, sweet dreams Dad.
