Hur-Ra-h for brewery's festival beer

Frome's Milk Street Brewery has been working hard to prepare the official beer for the Sunrise Festival, taking place near Bruton this weekend.

Named RA after the Egyptian sun god, the beer will be widely available on-site and in the Griffin pub, in Frome.

Charlie Thomas, manager of the Griffin, said: "This beer has been brewed specifically for the Sunrise Celebration.

"Well-conditioned and golden in colour, this summertime beer, brewed with locally-sourced organic malt and organic spelt, select hops from Germany, has a full-bodied crisp malty base and notes of lime.

"The finish is refreshing, clean and dry, and ideal with food."

Sunrise, which is entering its fourth year, has moved site this year to an organic farm not far from Frome and takes place from Thursday until Sunday.

More than 80 per cent of all the alcohol, food and soft drink will be organic, together with spring water from the site running through the taps.

There are still some tickets available from www.sunrisecelebration.com where more details can be found about the event.
