Who needs wind turbines?
I AGREE with Ian Liddell-Grainger about the proposed siting of wind turbines at Withy Farm.
It is stupid and short-sighted. If we have Hinkley B and the proposed Hinkley C power station then what need for turbines?
Hinkley supplies the area with all the power it needs.
Wind turbines should not litter the countryside, but should be sighted off-shore, perhaps in the Bristol Channel, and their electricity distributed where it is needed.
A good example (and pleasing to the eye) is the turbines in the Mersey, off Liverpool, and the extra-large turbines at Avonmouth.
Industrial architecture should be sited in industrial settings and not take up precious countryside.
