Four more months of misery on the M5
DRIVERS using the M5 face almost four months of roadworks, temporary limits and speed cameras from tomorrow.
Work to install a new concrete and steel barrier along a four-mile section of central reservation on the motorway between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea started last night and is expected to continue until the middle of February 2014.
The start of the work comes as further overnight closures take place on the M4 and M5 near the Almondsbury Interchange as part of the £150 million managed motorway scheme.
The Highways Agency says that work will be carried out day and night on the scheme near Weston, with the hard shoulder and various lanes closed at different stages of the project.
