Too late on Splash
WEST Somerset MP Ian Liddell-Grainger is too late with his approach over the demise of the local swimming pool in Bridgwater and he knows it.
Where was he when it was all happening because it did not happen overnight?
He seems more in touch with agricultural issues than he is with anything else.
It is his councillor associates (I wonder if any are farmers?) that voted to close the pool. A lot of people would like to know who these councillors are and which areas they represent.
They should all have an Asbo slapped on them.
Without any other local pool and no real commitment to establish one what are people to think?
What did these councillors expect over this?
I issue a "walk in the park", that's if there are any parks left when they're finished flogging anything they can.
What next for the axe?
The proposed new hospital and re-build for schools in this area?
These councillors do not realise, understand or have to cope with the upheaval and many problems they create when they close down places and spaces that people use.
But then again, I don't think they give a damn.
Sadly though, some people have developed a deep cynicism and movement toward individual politics than what might be best for the great good of society.
