Villagers in Peasedown St John are being asked for ideas on how the Beacon Field could be used more often by the community.

The field in the centre of the village is already used for children's play, dog walking and summer events such as Party in the Park.

Members of the community group Peasedown 1st want to see the central amenity used more often for events and organised activities.

Group spokeswoman Becci McCafferty said: "Ideally, we could see a regular farmers' market here, or car boot sales and antique fairs.

"We would like to see a large range of attractions on Beacon Field that would not only serve the village, but bring visitors in who would use local services."

Ms McCafferty said the group wanted to hear from local people about what they thought by email at contact@peasedown1st.org.uk or www.peasedown1st.org.uk.
