Take your head out of the clouds
So Gus Hoyt is going to stop fracking around Bristol and south-west England is he? What breathtaking arrogance.
I have no real problem with fracking one way or another as, quite frankly, I am not prepared to dismiss out of hand something that I know very little about
Furthermore I wonder what people struggling to pay their fuel bills think of your attitude. Not a lot I imagine.
If a democratically elected government (read coalition) gives permission for fracking then so be it.
Since when have the Green party been above the law?
Moving on to Eric Pickle's comments about Bristol being "anti-car" as far as I am concerned (and the 80 per cent of readers who answered your poll) he got it spot on.
George Ferguson, take your head out of the clouds and listen to the people.
I know that only a handful elected you but you need a reality check.
Shame really because we were all holding our breath hoping for something different and original.
No arena despite promises, RPZ restrictions despite massive opposition, more cycle lanes for cyclists that don't use them, more bus lanes for the occasional half empty busses that trundle along them, same old, same old.
Finally Tim Kent came out with an absolute classic that must be repeated.
He said: "Councils such as Bristol are run more efficiently than any government department".
Tim if this is true then it is most definitely nothing of which to be proud.
Now if Bristol Council was run as efficiently as any commercial business then we could be proud.
