The event is organised by the Guild of Fine Food and the 400-strong judging panel of fine food retailers, chefs, restaurant critics and food writers judged products across the country over 50 days.
Great Taste is simply about taste, not clever branding or smart packaging. Judges are presented with just the product – no packaging – and they taste, confer and re-taste before making their decision. In total more than 12 judges will have tasted and commented on each product.
Jon Thorner’s has been producing a range of handmade pies, quiches, pastries, ready meals and cakes for nearly ten years. The brand has gone from strength to strength, winning industry awards every year.
