This October join the cast of the Ilminster Entertainments Society in their fabulous production of Sondheim’s musical thriller, Sweeney Todd, showing at The Warehouse Theatre, Brewery Lane, Ilminster.
See the “Demon Barber of Fleet Street” exert a terrible revenge on society in pursuit of the throat of Judge ******, the man who stole his wife and daughter. In pursuit of his revenge Todd slits the throats of his customers before passing them on to his neighbour Mrs Lovett, to be made into meat pies.
Sweeney Todd is often described as composer Stephen Sondheim’s best work, bringing a blend of complex songs and drama to tell the tale. Using a mixture of interesting and intriguing characters
this musical thriller will shock and enthral but in the end provide you with a good night out at this lovely local theatre.
The Warehouse has a fully licensed bar, tea/coffee area, wheelchair access and T-loop system.
