With ample parking and a wide range of activities, competitions and general entertainment on offer, visitors are assured a day of wagging tails and smiles on Mells Playing Fields.

The fun starts at 11am and will run throughout the afternoon. Owners can enter their dogs into the 12 show categories for just £1.50 per class or four classes for £5 and have the chance of winning some much-coveted trophies, rosettes and great prizes. Judging will start at midday and the panel will be made up of professionals, local stars and committed dog enthusiasts.

The classes are to be held under Kennel Club rules and are as follows (classes and times may be subject to change):

Pedigree classes:

12 noon 1. Any Variety Puppy 6-12 months
12.20pm 2. Any Variety Sporting (Hounds, Terriers, Gun Dogs)
12.40pm 3. Any Variety Non Sporting (Working, Utility, Toy)
1pm 4. Any Variety Open

Novelty classes:

1.40pm 5. Handsomest Dog
2pm 6. Prettiest Bitch
