Despite the very poor season Kilmersdon Apple Day will still take place with plenty to see and do on October 20th 11am – 3pm. As well as stalls and displays as usual there will be the Longest Peel and Heaviest Apple competitions and Best Dressed Apple competition for the children. This year, instead of the best apple cake there will be a best chutney competition (with a specific recipe – phone 01761 437372 for details) The Beetlecrusher clog dancers will entertain us as will the Village Band. Teas and coffees and a variety of apple cakes from all over the country/world will be available but this year we will not be serving ploughmans’ lunches. For those lucky enough to have apples we will be pressing again so bring your containers for the juice. For further details contact Martin and Frances Horler 01761 437372
