THROUGHOUT the year in Crewkerne there is always an event to attend, whether it is a fair, a street procession or a seasonal pantomime.

Crewkerne United Dramatic and Operatic Society is a regular contributor to the town's events diary, organising all sorts of theatrical productions that are guaranteed to interest seasoned theatre-goers and aspiring thespians alike.

Throughout the winter and early spring months the town hosts a variety of events including the CUDOS pantomime and a French market, not to mention horticultural attractions, such as the Plant Hunters' Fair at Lower Severalls and a number of open garden days.

Later in the spring and early summer is the season for charity events, such as the Crewkerne 10 km Road Race and Fun Run, Crewkerne Triathlon and Junior Triathlon.

The summer is well and truly brought in with the Henhayes fete and Town Crier competition, and then later in the year St Bartholomew's Church lays on its own fete and street fair, not to mention Crewkerne Hospital's fete.

With the onset of winter comes national days, such as the wreath laying on Remembrance Day in November, and then festivities kick in with the town's Christmas Lights Festival.

December is always filled with festive events, including the CUDOS Christmas concert, Christmas tree festival and the traditional Boxing Day Hunt meeting and the annual pram race through the streets of the town.
