“Having just read about the bus driver who nearly killed a cyclist with a bus, and, i am in no way defending him, as that could have been a murder charge, and was an evil thing to do. However, it has to be said, and i'm sure a lot of people will agree, cyclists today can be a menace. I speak as i find, and i find they do not obey the Highway code. Everyday i see cyclists going straight through red lights, swerving across lanes of traffic, expecting car drivers to take evasive actions, cycling two, or even three abreast, so they can chat,.. !!!! They need a severe shaking up before one of them is killed. And then i wonder who will be blamed.”
“I do hear what you're saying Bob. I have no idea about this particular incident but, in the past, I have witnessed examples of dangerous riding from cyclists. Any cyclist should always obey the highway code and, if they don't, they should face punishment in the same way a driver would. Cyclists have no divine right to any right of way... after all, they don't pay road tax to use the roads, like drivers do. However, giving them 'a severe shaking up' may be a bit excessive! The law just needs to clamp down on dangerous cyclists more. Although, getting the law to clamp down on anything these days is hard...”
“Comments like this really annoy me. Yes I'm a cyclist, but I'm very safe. I know there are some idiots about, but drivers taking the law into their own hands is irresponsible and does nobody any good”
