One dead after car struck by train on level crossing in Athelney near Taunton
A person has been killed after a car was struck by a train on a level crossing near Taunton.
The crash happened at around 6.30am at a level crossing near Athelney, which is on the line between Taunton and Castle Cary.

Stanmoor Road in Athelney has now been closed in both directions at the Cuts Road junction.
A limited bus replacement service has now been put in place between Taunton and Westbury.
