The revamped This is Somerset site was launched on Tuesday morning.
Digital publisher Chris Rogers said: "We are now uploading more unique content than ever on This is Somerset, and our new-look homepage makes it far easier and quicker for our visitors to access that information.
"Breaking news and sport is being uploaded hourly, along with regular photo galleries, video clips and polls.
"We also have a weekly Yeovil Town podcast from Western Gazette sports editor Chris Sweet and reporter Jonathon Taylor, which is available every Monday and is growing in popularity each week."
The new homepage now contains the day's top 14 news stories, along with the nine leading sports stories and an improved what's on section.
A breaking news ticker feed at the top of the page highlights the very latest news and sports stories, while editor's pick sections will showcase the most popular articles from the previous 24 hours.
There is even a chance for Western Gazette readers to get involved. Visitors just need to register as a user and upload their own group or association's news, photos and events. They may even be featured in the Your Somerset section on the homepage.
