Serious crash closes A39 at Cannington near Bridgwater
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash which closed the A39 near Bridgwater this afternoon.
An air ambulance has joined police and firefighters at the scene of the incident at Cannington.

Two people are reported to have suffered head injuries in the collision, which involved a VW Golf and a Citroen Saxo and happened at around 1pm.
The A39 was closed between Main Road and the B3339 Wembdon Road for around two hours, and police diversions were in place with traffic being sent through Wembdon.

The road reopened at around 3pm.
The air ambulance was not needed, and the two casualties were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital by ambulance.
Their injuries are not reported to be life-threatening or life-changing.
