Be confident in off-road ability
I have read with interest the many letters in the Central Somerset Gazette regarding the Red Brick Cafe on the Morlands site, Glastonbury.
Much has already been said, but I wish to make one small point.
I am disabled and use a power chair.
I have visited the cafe where I enjoyed a lovely sandwich and a mug of proper builders tea on a damp day recently.

Yes it was muddy with pot holes and loose gravel.
However, I had no trouble getting to the cafe, up the ramp or getting out again.
My power chair, which is not a scooter, managed admirably.
This cafe is worth a visit but do remember that you need to be confident in your ability to go off road as well as the suitability and capabilities of the vehicle you use.
If you are not sure, then don't try it.
Getting stuck is not only embarrassing but potentially dangerous on a building site.

“This article & the other ad I've seen for an open fun day for kids and adults made me wonder how the Red Brick Building company manage about public liabilty insurance. The combination of an active, unfinished building site, with natural & unnatural hazards aplenty, a large part of the building still derelict and surely dangerous (but open to wander through the day I visited) and a public open day with encouragment to bring children, on top of the normal openings, activities and cafe, seems adventurous to say the least. They must have a very open minded insurance company.”
