ONLY just out of their teens, Dublin five-piece Little Green Cars were tipped for success in the BBC Sound of 2013 poll, with their dusty percussion and vocal harmonies pitched somewhere between Mumford & Sons and The Maccabees.

Fronted by the male and female duo of Stevie Appleby and Faye O'Rourke, Little Green Cars are at the start of their debut UK but it doesn't show one little bit.

Crammed onto the Louisiana's small stage, there was a palpable level of excitement; even the sense that this might be one of those I Was There gigs to look back on in years to come.

Singles The John Wayne and Harper Lee were the best received songs from a very tight set, with soaring choruses mixed with tinges of melancholia.
