The comedians set to make a stand at the Mill
Following the success of the Charlie Chuck comedy show at The Mill, Rode, organisers are preparing for another fun-filled evening of laughter tonight featuring some nationally renowned comedians, including Paul Karensa, Dave Ward and Karen Bayley.
Paul, ITV1's Take The Mic winner in 2002, is best-known for being co-writer of Not Going Out and Miranda for BBC television.
On the radio he has contributed to The Now Show, The News Quiz, Dead Ringers, Parsons & Naylor, The Lee Mack Show and News Huddlines.
The celebrated comedian was the winner of Royal Television Society Award, sitcom breakthrough, in 2007 with Not Going Out which also took the Rose d'Or for best sitcom in the same year.
He was a nominee in the British Comedy Awards 2007 for best new sitcom, again with Not Going Out.
Fluid, quick thinking and lively, David Ward's spontaneity has made him the choice host for the BBC's New Comedy Awards heats,
as well as the rounds for Channel 5's So You Think You're Funny?
His ability to engage with his audience and think on his feet makes him one to watch.
Completing the line-up is Karen Bayley who was the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award she was also a BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase finalist and Babycham Funny Women finalist.
The show is not suitable for under 18s and tickets cost £10 in advance or £12.50 on the door (which opens at 8pm).
