Get up close and personal with someone special at Clevedon Pier
VISITORS to Clevedon Pier can now have their picture taken with a very special woman – Big Bertha.
The traditional cut out of a plump woman – which pier staff have named Big Bertha – is on loan to Clevedon Pier from the owners of the Grand Pier at Weston while the £51 million rebuild takes place.

Hundreds of visitors have been flocking to have their photograph taken with the character, popping their own faces through the hole where Bertha's should be.
Bertha, dressed in a Victorian red and white stripy bathing costume, has been such a hit with visitors that pier bosses are considering buying one of their own when she returns to Weston this summer.
Clevedon pier mistress Linda Strong said: "To have Big Bertha the fat lady on the pier has been a fantastic attraction for our visitors.
"It was always traditional to have these cut outs at the seaside and people are delighted to see we have one on the pier.
"On New Year's Day we had 1,100 visitors to the pier, many of which had their picture taken with her.
"She has proved so popular that we are looking at buying our own figure later this year."
