With the warmer days and longer evenings many of us will be tempted to take a weekend break or perhaps a trip abroad, but before you pack the car and head off into the sunset you should have your vehicle serviced.
The first task will be to check the tire pressure. It's critical to have properly inflated tires at all times as this assures the best possible contact between the tire and the road. Remember to check your manual to see if you need to adjust pressures to compensate for hotter conditions if you're heading to a warmer climate.
A tyre improperly inflated can get hot fast and can even lead to a blow-out, while those of you planning to head out on long road should also keep in mind that properly inflated tires will help improve petrol consumption.
