Four car crash closes A367 at Peasedown St John near Bath
8.29 update: An accident involving four cars blocked a busy route near Bath this morning.
The A367 was closed at Peasedown St John in both directions, with queueing traffic in the area.

The road has now reopened.
Drivers were being diverted around the incident between the Mercedes dealership and the Bath Old Road junction.

“The main problem with this roundabout is that people on the A367 approach it far too fast and assume that nothing will be coming off the minor side roads. Add to that the reluctance these days to signal intention and there you have the ingredients for accidents. If ever there was a site that needed slowing down measures this is it - come on Banes - spend some money where it is needed for a change instead of on cycle paths further along the road!”
