Organisers worked hard to mark SomerRock's half decade by getting more acts, more bars to cope with demand, a larger marquee and stage, and superior sound equipment.
More than 2,000 revellers enjoyed this year's line up at Bridgwater Sports and Social Club including four top tribute bands to The Who, The Kinks, Foo Fighters and Green Day, and several local groups.
A SomerRock spokesman said: "This year's SomerRock was a brilliant success as it marked its fifth anniversary.
"Record numbers enjoyed more bands than ever, a variety of music, the extra bars kept queues minimal and I've not heard a bad word from anyone.
"We are already planning next year's festival to make it better again."
Four Fighters, the UK's foremost Foo Fighters tribute, proved a highlight with their energetic spirit.
Who's Who, who have performed the classic British rockers hits across Europe since 1996, were energetic and flawless.
Crowds loved returning to the 1960s as The Kinx carefully captured the essence of The Kinks.
Green Date, a six-piece nod to US post-punk group Green Day, also went down well performing the band's early songs through to their newest hits.
Supports, modern rock group Rude Tiger, local ska band The Communicators and Bridgwater's metal band Death By Ki played a variety of music, proving the event, on July 24, had something for everyone.
To top things off there was a double-decker bus bar and four other bars with a selection of drinks, that kept queues to a minimum.
Several charities onsite, including St Margaret's Somerset Hospice and Cancer Research UK, reported collecting hundreds of pounds for their causes.
Profits from the festival are still being counted, but a slice will go to a charity to be chosen by organisers.
