Priston Festival's latest film offering is the amusing, engaging and uplifting Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, to be shown at Priston Village Hall on Saturday.
A recent report from Village-SOS lamented the fact that cinema-going is increasingly becoming an urban experience and praised attempts around the UK to redress the balance.
Only three per cent of cinemas are in rural areas, although the Office of National Statistics defines 27 per cent of the population is rural.
Over the last year Priston Festival has complemented its main music and arts festival in September with screenings of Breakfast at Tiffany's in Priston Village Hall, and of War Horse at the nearby Camerton Village Hall (in association with Bath Film Festival Community Cinema).
