Two Midsomer Norton sixth form students have been nominated for a prestigious youth award for a film they made last summer.

Bregeta Bond and Emily Fretwell's film Beloved has already won Best Drama as part of the Electric December competition at Bristol's Watershed.

The film deals with the theme of unrequited love.

Produced by Bath-based Suited and Booted, Beloved has been nominated for a First Light Award. The awards take place on March 5 at the British Film Institute in London.

If Bregeta and Emily win they will be automatically entered into other national and international film awards.
