Yeovil drug factory fire cause of road chaos in town centre
A house fire that caused rush hour traffic chaos in Yeovil was started when a drugs factory burst into flames.
Police discovered the huge cannabis farm in Sherborne Road on the A30 around 4pm yesterday when black smoke was billowing out of the roof of a three-bedroom house.

A haul of more than 150 plants with a street value in excess of £100,000 was uncovered inside the property.
The road was closed off and brought the roads around Yeovil to gridlock.

Police said that a dangerous electric setup caused the fire and that no one had been arrested.

“For starters growing plants is not a factory, they don't assemble the plants leaf by leaf, this would be a farm...
This fire is a direct result of prohibition, I would prefer these plants to be grown on licensed out-of-town premisis, this would ensure that the electrics would be safe and that the public are kept at a safe distance.... Unfortunately a silly law forces people to grow these plants in attics endangering the neighbours and their families.
Can we force this plant out of the dangerous hands of the black market please!
