Yeovil Town v Notts County: Gary Johnson vows to get Glovers passion back
Gary Johnson will fight “to the grave” to get the passion back at Yeovil Town – but will only sing praises when he knows the club is on the right track.
The Glovers entertain Notts County in League One today having reached the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area semi-finals in midweek.

The Huish Park outfit comfortably beat League Two Wycombe 2-0, but Johnson was left far from pleased with his side’s finish.
He said: “I thought we had a fantastic hour and I would have liked to see us really finish strong but, unfortunately, it didn’t work out like that.

“I couldn’t be bubbly afterwards that we had got to the area semi-finals because I was disappointed with the way we finished. I want our supporters to know that we are looking for better than that for 90 minutes.
“It has not been a bad year all round and I have enjoyed it since I have been here. I am going to push until I’m in my grave to get the passion back to the club.
“There are a lot of passionate people around and I need them to come to the fore. I’m going to help them.”
Johnson called on his side to discover their killer instinct when ending games and said they were not far from the standard of where he wanted them to be.
“As far as the team were concerned on Tuesday, it was the killer instinct later on,” he said.
“We created chances and, if you score two goals in both halves you are 4-0 winners, and that would have been about right. We played well enough, especially in the first half to make people think Wycombe weren’t a good team, but they had won their previous three with a new manager.
“It wasn’t going to be an easy game, but we played some good football on the day. We are not a million miles away and it’s just whether you call it killer instinct or some fine tuning.
“I am definitely not going to con anyone. I am not going to say it is going well when it is not because when it is I want to be screaming from the rooftops and that is when we will know we are on the right track.”
Top scorer Paddy Madden is available after the Carlisle striker was ineligible for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy clash because he was cup-tied.
Winger Keanu Marsh-Brown is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season for a dive in the victory over Wycombe on Tuesday.
Notts County will again be without Andre Boucaud, but the midfielder is back at Meadow Lane for treatment on his knee injury.
Defender Dean Leacock returns after suspension, but former Bristol City winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce and veteran striker Lee Hughes are still banned.
