Yeovil Town to monitor Bristol City defender James Wilson
Gary Johnson will monitor Bristol City’s James Wilson but distanced himself from reports linking Yeovil Town to non-League ace Rodney Marsh.
The Glovers’ manager confirmed he had been notified about the loan ability of defender Wilson. However, Taunton Town midfielder Marsh is not someone currently on his radar.

Johnson said: “I only know one Rodney Marsh and he is about 63, but was certainly a good player. I don’t know the player, it’s a big old jump from Taunton to the first division with all due respect. I would have thought there would be a lot of clubs between them and us to show what he can do.
“I don’t know where that’s come from because I have never heard the name and it has come out of the blue.

“I know James, of course I do. He is a good player, he came up through the youth set up when I was involved at Bristol City and he is one where there has been a sheet that has gone out to say he is available for loan. He is one to keep an eye on, that’s for sure.”
Wilson, 23, started the season in City manager Derek McInnes’ plans and was refused a move to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest. However, with the Scottish boss close to signing a defender on loan, Wilson is up for grabs.
McInnes said: “I sat down and had a meeting with James a couple of weeks ago to let him know where he stood. He is a young player and I have told him he still figures in my plans, but he might need to go out on loan to get regular first-team football. But it will have to be the right club at the right time.”
Marsh is believed to be interesting a host of clubs, with Bath City and the Glovers thought to be among them. At the end of the 2011-12 campaign he scooped the Evo Stik Southern League outfit’s supporters’ player of the year, players’ player of the year and top goal-scorer awards.
