Yeovil Town captain Paul Huntington banned for a further game
Yeovil Town have confirmed that captain Paul Huntington has been given a further one-match ban in the wake of his red card in the closing stages of last month’s 2-1 home win over Preston North End
Central defender Huntington was dismissed by referee Oliver Langford in the 87th minute for a tackle on Preston striker Jamie Proctor.

The Glovers appealed against the decision, but their plea was dismissed by the Football Association.
In a further setback for the Huish Park outfit, Huntington was also charged with breaching an FA rule relating to making physical contact with a match official.
He travelled to Wembley for a personal hearing yesterday and the outcome was the addition of a fourth match to his suspension by the FA.
The 24-year-old, who was excluded from last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, will also now miss the Glovers’ home game against Colchester on February 18 as well as Saturday’s home match against Scunthorpe and Tuesday’s trip to Wycombe.
With Huntington serving the second game of his ban on Saturday, it is expected that 20-year-old Luke Ayling will continue to captain the side against Scunthorpe.
After player-coach Nathan Jones, Ayling is the club’s longest-serving player.
Meanwhile, Tottenham midfielder Dean Parrett will stay at Yeovil for the rest of the season after the two clubs agreed to extend his loan.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a successful first month in Somerset, starting against Tranmere, Bury, Preston and Sheffield Wednesday after joining on January 13.
Despite Saturday’s clash with Scunthorpe still falling within Parrett’s initial spell, Gary Johnson has been quick to keep hold of him for longer. “We’ve just agreed with Dean and Tottenham for him to be with us until the end of the season, so that’s good news,” the Yeovil manager said.
“Dean has impressed me. He has fantastic ability and there is probably more to come from him. “People have seen his qualities, there are a couple of things he has to improve on slightly, but he knows that as well and I think he’s happy to be here.
“We like the good bits about him and we’re willing to improve the other bits about him. He has obviously taken that on board because he would like to spend the rest of the season with us.”
Yeovil have confirmed, however, that Southampton have recalled Ryan Dickson with immediate effect.
The 25-year-old made five appearances for the Glovers on the left-hand side of defence and in midfield, and scored in the 3-2 defeat at Bury, during his stay at Huish Park.
Dickson’s loan deal has ended, according to Yeovil, due to the Cornishman wanting to remain with one club for the rest of the season.
However, under loan rules, the maximum duration that the Glovers could keep him for was a further 60 days.
Johnson also revealed that Dominic Blizzard has suffered a setback in his comeback.
The midfielder is yet to play under Johnson since injuring his hamstring at Exeter City early last month.
The Glovers’ boss said: “Dominic played on Tuesday in a behind-closed-doors game against Exeter and he is the unluckiest guy in the world as he got a cut head. It was unbelievable. The other lads watching had a book on how long he would last – and I think Gavin Williams won with 25 minutes.”
