Last weekend Johnson's men were let down by a disappointing first half display at Bury, conceding three times in the opening 45 minutes on their way to a 3-2 defeat.
However, they still managed to register the most shots on target in the entire Football League and Johnson said it was up Yeovil to add the finishing touch to their attacking endeavour.
"What we can assure people is that we are going to create chances," he said. "The people that went to Bury would have seen a really poor first half but we still created chances.
"We have got that mentality, it is now about trying to win games. At Bury, which is a difficult place to go, we had the most shots on target in all the Football League - 14. That was staggering.
"It is the environment we are creating at the moment, which gives you a chance right until the end.
"The people that went to Bury would have enjoyed the second half, they would have been entertained because they would have seen a lot of opportunities at their end.
"We are hoping to play with guts and determination but also have an end product. That is what the supporters want to see and we can promise them that. We would ask them to come and be entertained."
Johnson is also hoping that the home support on Saturday can better the atmosphere they created for his home return against Tranmere Rovers.
He said: "It is definitely a huge home test, all of the games will be tests at the minute in the position we are in.
"It was a fantastic atmosphere against Tranmere at home and that positive support really did create an environment where the lads felt confident that they could go and beat them.
"We are looking for a repeat of that and maybe better it because you are going to have to better it slightly to beat Preston."
Despite Tottenham Hotspur loanee Dean Parrett leaving the Gigg Lane pitch with his arm in a makeshift sling, Johnson said the midfielder should be fit, revealing a shoulder injury was not the original concern.
"Dean had a cough that has laid him low for a couple of days so he was not quite up to his normal fitness and he had a slight temperature before the game," said Johnson.
