Yeovil Tennis Club 2012 Junior Championship sets high standards
Organisers of the seventh Yeovil Tennis Club 2012 Junior Club Championships have praised the high standard of performance in all age groups.
This was particular evident in the under-18s event, won by Rob Howes for the third year running. Kyle Garland was runner-up.
Twins Ashley and Jamie Lillington dominated the under-14s competition, with Ashley taking first and Jamie second.
Up-and-coming player Peter Bennett also performed well, and will be among the favourites next year.

An under-12 tournament was added to the championships for the first time, and the final saw Kharn Kaniewski win against Liam Rowsell. Sam Fuller and Alex Rutter were the other semi-finalists in a keenly contested age group.
The mini green 10-and-under final saw Alex Thomas and James Farr continue their battle. In what was a very close match, Farr managed to defeat Thomas.
In the mini orange nine-and-under final, Thomas and Farr met in the final again, but this time it was Thomas who took the title.
The Yeovil club's youngest players competed in the mini red eight-and-under competition, won by Alfie Feltham with Lawson Hammett finishing as runner-up.
