Wrinklies rap it up for hospice charity
BURNHAM’S mature hip hop act helped a charity raise more than £1,200 when they performed outside Morrisons in the town.
The Wrinkly Rappers entertained shoppers at the Pier Street store to raise money for Weston Hospicecare.

Each year the charity provides palliative care for 1,100 people with life-limiting illnesses and gives support to their families.
It has just launched Do Just One Thing, a new fundraising appeal urging people in the area to help reach a £160,000 target they need to cope with the extra numbers of patients they are caring for.
The Wrinkly Rappers, currently recording a Christmas album for charity, helped raise a total of £1,280 at the store on Saturday.
Brenda Brooks, aka Wrinkly Rapper B’n’B, said: “We performed a few of our raps and it’s lovely to see the looks on peoples’ faces when they see us.
“We did attract quite a bit of attention which helped the collection, including some youngsters who joined in with us.”
Brenda formed the group last year along with Marian Bowers (aka Snowy) and Belinda Marks (aka Baby Bel) after hearing a couple of young girls saying older people were “not cool and didn’t understand younger people”.
They now perform at day care centres and charity events, such as the Weston Hospicecare collection.
